The Story Behind Even Numbers by Kayla, Founder

My journey into the creative world began at a young age, immersed in art and design. Growing up, I spent weekends at workshops, summers at creative camps, and my school years at art-focused high schools. My passion deepened with pre-college courses at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and later, a Bachelor's and Master's in design.

Art was always a part of my life, thanks to my mother, an artist who made creative expression second nature. Whether she was hosting community library events or planning unforgettable birthday parties, she showed me how art could bring people together. Inspired by her, I naturally stepped into event planning, blending my love for design with the joy of creating meaningful connections.

This rich creative foundation eventually led me to launch Even Numbers—a community where art and connection come together.

The name EVEN NUMBERS was created from the unique experience of growing up as a triplet, I have developed a deep appreciation for the balance and harmony that even numbers represent - because no one wants or should ever feel left out or excluded in any setting.

Why Start a creative community?

I noticed a gap… the Milanese community - People are seeking connections and a sense of belonging in a big city. (Like my personal experiences in New York City, making friends as an adult is hard. Selfishly I was craving community & connection in a new city). Bringing art into the equation seemed like a practical solution. Art can break barriers and foster vulnerability, so I initially pursued this for my own sake as a newcomer. Now, it's evolved into something bigger—an endeavor for the sake of others. Join us in building a community where art serves as the glue, connecting us as a family of friends.
